I know everyone knows how good Luka Doncic is, but you really can’t overstate how valuable having a guy like that is in the postseason. This is now twice in three years the Mavs have made the WCF as a 4/5-seed, knocking off the 64-win Suns and 57-win Thunder 1-seeds. Elevation.

It's funny how Kyrie watching kooky Instagram videos has had the butterfly effect of potentially dooming the Suns' future but saving the Mavs from utter damnation after they let Brunson walk away. Luck of the draw.

This Mavs team should be the blueprint for the Suns going into next season. A disastrous first season for their core, but followed that up by making the perfect moves on the margins, gained chemistry, and made a quick turnaround. The Suns can fix this, just like they did.
