We have preliminarily confirmed the Finleyville tornado in Washington County as an EF2. In addition, today's surveys identified a brief EF0 tornado near New Salem in Fayette County and an EF1 tornado crossing from Fayette County, PA into Preston County, WV near Fike Run.

We have survey crews out evaluating damage in the Finleyville area of Washington County (already radar confirmed tornado) as well as Fayette/northern Preston Counties (possible tornado) from the storms last night. We will have more information later once the surveys are completed

Scattered showers will end this morning, with a partial clearing trend through the rest of the day.

Thank you all for your reports today. We have confirmed a tornado touched down near Finleyville between 06:05 PM and 06:15 PM today. We will be sending a crew out tomorrow to assess the damage, timing, and intensity.

A team will be heading out tomorrow morning to survey the damage from the tornado in Peters Township/Finleyville. We will have more specific information sometime later tomorrow.
