Houston signed Dillon Brooks and Fred VanVleet in free agency last year. Pistons traded for Joe Harris and signed Monte Morris. You gotta make your own luck, man

Pistons could’ve went harder in free agency last summer and didn’t. The NBA wants teams that go for it, like Houston did, to still have a chance in the lottery and not be punished for improving. At this point, Detroit really can’t point the finger. Gotta draft and sign better.

The Pistons shouldn't feel so bad about picking 5th. Given their track record, they can find one of the least productive players at the 5th pick just as well as they could have done with the 1st pick. Really... this team is guessing wrong no matter where they pick! 😂😂😂

Why are people complaining about the draft lottery not rewarding teams like the Pistons for prolonged ineptitude? A play-in team got the #1 pick? Fine. At least they pretended to compete this season.
