Actor Zawe Ashton played Dar-Benn, The Marvels' villain, who was a gender-swapped version of a relatively unknown Marvel character named Dar-Benn.

In the film, Danvers, Rambeau, and Kamala team up as "the Marvels" after they begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers. Marvel Studios confirmed plans to make a sequel to Captain Marvel in July 2019.

The Marvels just has one post-credits scene, which plays at the mid-credits after the initial stylized credits with the cast's names have finished rolling. Post-credits, there isn't another scene, just an audio gag, so you won't be missing much if you head home after the mid-credits.
