Nappily Ever After shows how hard it is for a hardworking woman to get her true potential acknowledged in the male working environment. Violet (the protagonist) does not exactly notice this till later on in the film, when her pitch gets rejected. Also, I enjoyed the portrayal of Violet's hair as a metaphor in the film.
