Lupus is an autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation in many different body systems — including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs, according to the Mayo Clinic. Lupus is known to increase the risk of stroke, per the National Institute of Health.

The youngest of Snoop and Shanté Broadus' children, Cori was born on June 22, 1999. In January 2024, Cori experienced a “severe stroke,” and was taken to the hospital. A few days later, she was discharged and able to return home.
