You can’t be all “THESE PEOPLE are breaking the law but for a good cause” but “THOSE PEOPLE are vigilantes.” Once you let people decide for themselves what rules do and don’t apply to them, you are giving up on the idea of rules.

Attention student protesters: I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this but the persuasive force of your argument doesn’t improve if you make it rhyme (“sea … free” or “solution … revolution”). I’m telling you because you seem not to know.

If you yell “go back to Poland” you mean one of two things: (1) “I want you to die” (2) “I’m so uneducated I don’t know what happened to the Jews in Poland.” Neither is a great look.

Law is the only job that you get an email from a colleague about an “LOL question” and it stands for Limitation of Liability.
