Is Beau afraid about schizophrenia?
What I've concluded is the film is told from the perspective of a paranoid schizophrenic who has an extremely dysfunctional relationship with his mother. Most of what we see in the movie isn't real but are Beau's hallucinations brought out by his anxiety.
