This 22nd and last episode was filmed before "Gotta Run", but was aired last because of the show's cancellation and to give the series appropriate closure. Thus, Mork apparently defeats Kalnik for good and the demolished apartment is successfully repaired.

Because Mork wears his clothes backward, Mindy believes that he is a priest. Mork and Mindy walk back to town and go to Mindy's apartment, where she discovers that Mork is an alien, and offers to help him study Earth.

At the beginning of the fourth season, Mork and Mindy got married. Jonathan Winters, one of Williams's idols, was brought in as their child, Mearth. Because of the different Orkan physiology, Mork laid an egg, which grew and hatched into the much older Winters.

The series may have had a big impact, expanding both Dawber's and Williams' careers, but it only ran for four seasons. The show experienced a steep ratings decline at the end of its run, which contributed to its cancellation. Fans have speculated that its increasingly bizarre storylines began to turn off viewers.
