Valencia is famous for its celebratory spirit, especially in March. Every year the city comes alive with Las Fallas – a traditional celebration which consists of burning massive cartoonish statues throughout the city and involves a days-long party to commemorate the onset of spring.

If a purely beach holiday is not your main purpose, but you'd still like to cool off in the sea and sunbathe for a few hours, Valencia is a great destination. The city offers a combination of everything, so it's worth adding to your Spain itinerary.

Not expensive compared to Barcelona or Madrid. I would say even cheaper than Seville and Granada. Budget for about 60 per person per day for quite a comfortable visit.
