Over the years, the original band members left Panic! at the Disco until only Urie remained. He has continued to perform under the moniker essentially as a solo act since 2015.

Urie has also been involved with several songs and other projects by former labelmates Fall Out Boy. He provided vocals on the songs "What a Catch, Donnie" and "20 Dollar Nose Bleed" from Fall Out Boy's 2008 album, Folie à Deux.
