In 2006, the Nationwide Foundation donated a 10-year, $50 million gift to support child safety and injury prevention, neonatal intensive care, and the heart center at Nationwide Children's Hospital. In 2007, the Columbus Children's Research Institute was renamed The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
