🗳️ General Election - 4 July 🗳️ Back me and Rishi Sunak’s plan to secure our economic recovery, continue to cut crime in our constituency and across the country and keeping our families safe in an unsafe world.

We've all been shocked by the infected blood scandal and its impact on victims over many decades. Today in the Commons I welcomed the Government's scheme of compensation for victims whilst asking how we can get rid of the cover-up culture which delayed justice for too long.

Today’s @Telegraph piece on NHS silencing of whistleblowers and cover-up only reinforces the need for a complete overhaul of the UK’s whistleblowing legislation and protections. My #Whistleblowing Bill will do this and I encourage Ministers to back it.

Prison officers, like police, work in a challenging and often dangerous environment. Today, I asked the Justice Secretary what plans he has to reduce the retirement age so it is also in line with policing
