Description. The Damascus or Shami breed of Syria is close to the Nubian type but, like the Syrian Mountain breed, it is often horned and its hair coat is long. It is a tall goat standing about 75 cm high at withers. Live weight is 60-80 kg for males and 40-60 kg for females.
