“Bye, Felisha” is a line spoken by Ice Cube's character, Craig, in the popular 1995 comedy film, Friday. While smoking a joint with his friend Smokey, Craig is approached by Felisha, a local girl who constantly annoys the neighborhood with her attempts to mooch off others.

The phrase originally comes from a scene involving Angela Means' character Felisha in the American comedy film Friday (1995). According to Ice Cube, who starred in the film and co-wrote its script, "'Bye, Felicia' is the phrase to get anyone out of your face".

But his most lingering legacy might be a throwaway line from the movie Friday: “Bye, Felicia.” The quote pops up everywhere from Empire to Internet message boards, and has become the primary means of dismissing an unwanted acquaintance. It even pops up in the recent Ice Cube and N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton.
