With time running out and obstacles around every corner, 'Battle Los Angeles' is a thrilling action adventure fantasy. The action sequences are fast and amazingly well done. The visual effects are stunning. The freeway scene in particular was awesome!

The film's story was partly inspired by the Battle of Los Angeles, a rumored enemy attack and subsequent anti-aircraft artillery barrage that took place in Los Angeles during World War II, on the night of February 24, 1942.

"We've just started the script [for the sequel] now, so that's where we are. We have just begun the script," he explained. "Just because I don't want the studio to get pissed at me, I'm not sure what I can and can't say about it. But what's exciting is it sounds like the budget will be as big.

The attack turned out to be a false alarm, and believed to have been caused by weather balloons released the night before. Of course jittery and jumpy nerves played a big role in the incident. Five people were killed during the attack, through either car accidents or heart attacks. There had been no enemy aircraft.
