Australian Miniature Goats are direct descendants of the Australian Bush Goats. In 2003 a group of Australian Bush Goat enthusiasts joined together to form the Australian Miniature Goat Association (AMGA) to set height standards for Miniature Goats and to promote them as a 'designer pet breed' to the broader public.
