Dan Bylsma has reportedly been named the next head coach of the @SeattleKraken. Bylsma won the Stanley Cup as head coach of the Penguins in 2009 and is currently the head coach of Seattle's AHL affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds. #SeaKraken

As I mentioned on @SiriusXMNHL with @stevekouleas @CarterHutton4 just over an hour ago, Dan Bylsma will be the new Head Coach of the Kraken. He's currently coaching Seattle's affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds in the WCF in the AHL.

Kind of weird for a NHL team to hold a press conference announcing they've elevated their AHL coach in the middle of a Calder Cup run. Most would wait until the end of their playoff run so the players/staff can focus on winning. Unless they think this will fire them up even more
